A vector file has no property of resolution - the rendering device determines the dpi/ppi of the final output. If the vector file is "rough" looking in Illustrator at high magnification, then it will be rough no matter the output device, but I don't believe that's the issue - you did look at the file after vectorizing and cleaned it up a bit, as MisterMe pointed out, didn't you? Square corners tend to round off, straight lines sometimes have a bow in them, parallel lines aren't parallel, "skinnies" or gaps appear between objects that share a common edge, etc., etc. Look closely!
Live tracing a low resolution image - say <100ppi - will amplify these errors. However, increasing the "path fitting" in the Trace options to more than 1 or 2 pixels should not result in your path following the edge of the pixels exactly and producing "jaggies" in your vector result.
Some clients just like to throw the lingo around (as do print sales people) with no real understanding of the issue or the terms.
BTW, citizenzen, though the terms ppi and dpi have slightly different meanings in different contexts, your definition is askew. The distinction between DPI and PPI is that DPI refers to a single-bit dot, as in a laser imagesetter whereas PPI refers to a multi-bit entity, i.e an RGB pixel is usually 24-bit-per-pixel(dot). Pixels have depth, dots do not. Cameras have PPI, printers, even those printing in multiple colours, have DPI. The two terms are used interchangeably by most people in the industry, and most of us understand what is meant either way. An image has no "inherent" DPI, it is an artificial and arbitrary measure - i.e. it doesn't matter what the DPI actually is, what matters is how many pixels are in the source image. Not looking for an argument here, and I don't know how this point got in, but let's not make the water muddy with spurious definitions.
I too would like to see an illustration of the problem...

Thanks for the compliment 100Teraflops. The mini shown there is an Ork scrap prospector, circa late 1990's. I really like the pewter Ork models from that era
Most of the minis I work with are Games Workshop products. Their Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 games definitely inspired much of the Warcraft/Starcraft concept art. So much that there are supposedly lawyers involved. The story goes that Blizzard wanted to make the Warhammer strategy games, but GW had other developers lined up to make them. So Blizzard sort of tweaked things enough to call it their own game. There are still tongue in cheek references to the Warhammer universe in WoW and other titles :D
@ Full of Win, I didn't know a reverser ring was an option. I'll definitely look into that!
@ gnd, Just saw your reply. Might not be able to get away with it after all :p

I'm not sure if anyone remembers it, but I think my favorite RPG game was Vandal Hearts for Playstation. It was a great mix of RPG and Action, and I wish I never sold that game.

http://3anime.com/apple-ipad-2-jailbreak-on-ios-4-3-1-now-possible-with-pwnagetool/3426
Its good news for those who updated their Apple iPad 2 and iPhone 4 to iOS 4.3.1. The download of the PwnageTool is now ready for those who want to jailbreak their devices now. It has been a long wait for consumers as they waited for the Apple iPad 2 Jailbreak since Apple announced a iOS 4.3.1 that will break the vulnerability to unlock the iPad 2. PwnageTool is the latest jailbreak from the Dev-team with the help of DjayB6 on iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak bundle and Universal Ramdisk Fixer. All iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch under the firmware iOS 4.3.1 can now be successfully jailbroken. We have the easy guide on how to do the Apple iPad 2 Jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 using PwnageTool. Again this is a tethered jailbreak!
Here we have the quick steps on how to with with the Apple iPad 2 jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1:
Step 1: Download PwnageTool bundle (includes Universal Ramdisk Fixer) for your version of iOS device. Extract the .zip folder, in there you will find a .bundle file, for this guide, we are using iPhone 4 bundle iPhone3,1_4.3.1_8G4.bundle. Move this file to your desktop.
Step 2: Download PwnageTool 4.2 and copy it to /Applications directory. Right click, and then click on Show Package Contents
Step 3: Navigate to Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and paste iPhone3,1_4.3.1_8G4.bundle file in this location.
Step 4: Download Universal Ramdisk Fixer (part of the PwnageTool bundle package that you downloaded in Step 1 above) and simply install it as shown in the screenshots below. This is important because Ramdisk in the current version of PwnageTool is broken. This Universal Ramdisk Fixer basically patches it correctly for iOS 4.3.1 firmware
Step 5: Download iOS 4.3.1 firmware. Move this file to your desktop
Step 6: Start PwnageTool in Expert mode and select your device
Step 7: Browse for iOS 4.3.1 firmware for your device
Step 8: Now select Build to start creating custom 4.3.1 firmware file
Step 9: PwnageTool will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.
Step 10: Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode using PwnageTool
Step 11: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left alt (option) button on Mac, or Left Shift button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on Restore (Not Update or Check for Update) button in the iTunes and then release this button.
Step 12: iTunes will be doing most of the work in this step. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iOS device will be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1.
And there you have it, a tethered iOS 4.3.1 Apple iPad 2 Jailbreak! Good luck!

I see one typo here:
<style type="text/css"">
Notice the extra " at the end. That can definitely cause issues.
I also recommend running your page through the HTML validator (http://validator.w3.org/), which can help identify these kinds of problems.

No. The X1900 is 25% stronger. The Quadro's only good point is the extra ram. Its not worth the extra money.
Hello (again) 300D.
We already talked about this. Where do you get the 25%. Tests have shown that the card is about as fast as the 7800.

Boy, am I glad that I have no kids .... period.
It's getting to the point that the SPCA would be involved, for what is about to happen to them.
Good luck.

Well, you're going to create a new view each time, nothing wrong with that. You'd just prefer not to have to duplicate the code. Think of it like the navigation controller with pushViewController and popViewController. You want to implement something like those methods, except you're pushing a view and popping a view, and doing the related animations.

I would like to see the start up time (not that it matters that much, honestly, but it's always interesting) Also, it would be cool if you could do some performance tests with Xcode and Photoshop.
What about some general speed? E.g. start up time of applications.
regarding start up time, my 2011 base 27" took 30seconds which im very happy with :D

well most people use the console version. it's really pretty easy to use, and gives you much more control over the pref pane.
sorry i know that's not much help. i don't use the pref pane anymore, so i can't help too much anymore. but if you can, maybe a screenshot of what you're not sure of?
cheers for the quick reply twoodcc. i have the console version installed too. its working now.
the GUI version doesnt let you do anything, just think of the TM preferences! its that... lol.
i can run the console version if need be, any hints to change preferences etc? its currently using ~770% of my CPU lol - i dont want it that hot.
