*girlish giggle* Why helloooOooo Mr. Dis.

Oooohhh.. 8 seems like a big number!! :) Is it mm circumference or just.. numbers someone decided on?
Ah, a labret.. I learned that word freshman year.. then the girl with the labret piercing squirted grape juice at me through the hole.
OMG freaky, but she' first chair at Oberlin now, so I guess she can labret-squirt anyone she wants now, 'cause she's principal bass at OBERLIN her freaking junior year. (just... DAMN! I mean.. DAYMN!)
Dude, those look so cool! I wish I could have one and not look like a stupid goob. :(
guess you haven't seen the pictures i put up in the Macrumors Pics!! Thread LoL.....
the way the gauges work is weird, smallest is 20, but your most common is 18, the lower the number the bigger the size. its weird, i know. i can't squirt anything through my labret, its only a 14.... maybe if it was 12 or bigger. so 2 would be a bit more than double what i have now...
here is what a quick search turned up Linky (http://www.tribalectic.com/SizingInfo.asp)

I've just watched the keynote video and Steve does look really ill to me..
He also didn't seem as prepared for the presentation as normal as he had to keep reading his notes.
Hope I'm wrong though..
I could not watch the whole thing due to it stopping.. but I saw 30 mins, and he only spoke for like 5 minutes, the rest was left to the other 3 people...Why ?

Tell us then because I am absolutely done with this PoS device now unless I can downgrade.
You can downgrade the iPhone 3G with the help of some free third-party software but it is multistep process, you'll have to google for it.
The iPhone 3GS can only be downgraded if you had saved a 'security blob' (think of it a digital fingerprint of your device and its OS) from it before you upgraded it 4.x.
I did downgrade my 3G from 4.0.x to 3.1.3 as 4.0.x was unusable. But from 4.1 on (and even a little bit better with 4.2), my 3G was pretty much behaving with 4.1+ as it did with 3.x.

They recently changed their website menu bar to Liquid Metal Black:
http://images.apple.com/global/nav/images/globalsearch_bg.png
What makes you think Liquid metal is black anyhow ? It's no blacker than aluminium which can be anodized black or Carbon fiber which can be painted a light shade of grey.
Seriously folks, that black macbook concept art could be made out of anything, as much as their "dark" look can represent any material on their site. It has nothing to do with supposed Liquid Metal or Carbon Fiber or Aluminum.

Technically, we just have "tons of oil" all over the place. It's just that much of it is too expensive to get so we rather get it from the "poor nations" who will sell it for cheap. I'm sure as technology advances, it will get cheaper to mine those, but as long as we don't need to, we're going to get other ppl's oils.
It may also come to the point that if oil demand greatly exceeds available supply by a large margin (ie China, India, and Brazil keep growing like they are) a viable alternative will arrive before we can get to those reserves.
If that viable alternative requires abandoning petrol-based fuels, then the market could essentially disappear. If both can be distributed concurrently, then the market will readjust to such a point that it probably wouldn't be cost effective to drill most of our deeper resereves.

Go Ducks, indeed. I've never wanted to see a team lose as much as I want to see Auburn lose.

My parents are from Kiev.
If you are seriously using Zhydiv, you have issues. For all the non-russian speakers on here, it means "kike" in russian.
Not at all. I could give a s*** less about Ukraine, that country sucks now as much as it did when my family left. We're americans now, and damn proud! I'm wondering why you live in america since you seem to love ukraine so much.
Odne pytannya za tebe: O skil`ky rokiv tobi buv koly ty z rodynoyu priyikhav z Kyeva do Spoluchenykh Shtativ? A ty v College?
Actually, slovo "zhyd" is in Polish also.. West Ukrainian language uses a lot of Polish and trans-carpathian dialects.. My grandparents are from Zakarpattya. and they always referred to Jews in Ukrainian as: Zhydy.. Polish: Zydzi..
Should have known you were an EASTERN UKRAINIAN... you all voted Russian and or for the Russianization of Eastern Ukraine, right? Yanukovych I hope will be defeated in the future, and a new President like Yushchenko will take power and make Ukraine a better nation than under what they have now.
Ok, so you are American.. good. But you also most understand that in America, there is no real culture.. What would life be like without Pyrohi or Pierogi? Holuptsi? Horilka?

For those with beards and home knitwear, and who like a bit of cask beverage, may I recommend The Brewery Tap in Chester, UK (my home town).
It's owned by local independent brewery Spitting Feathers and has their own products plus plenty of guest ales. It's situated in a magnificent Jacobean great hall, part of Gamul House, where King Charles I stayed in 1645 during the Battle of Rowton Moor (which he lost), prior to losing his head.
....
Imagine how history would have been different if Charles had stayed away from the ale taps the night before..... :D

Nokia used to be THE name in cellphones.
Nokia has no relevance in smartphones.
The cell market is migrating to smartphone centric.
So now Nokia has less and less relevance in the mobile market.
Instead of being relevant, they are trying to either force companies to pay royalties/licensing on their 'patents' or shut them down in some way.
Sorry, but you fell asleep Nokia.

Wait a minute...I think I see your problem. Just click once on you document folder and it will open very quickly.
what you are doing is simulating a right click (Click and hold the button down). this will bring up a Start menu-like interface).. I think if you right click this will happen instantly, too.... (or maybe it's option-click...I'm not on my mac at the moment, unfortunately). There is SUPPOSED to be a delay when you click and hold like that.
I've never seen Finder slow... and I'm on the same machine as you are.
(of course I may have completely misread this and be totally wrong, in which case I would ask what apps you have open, how much memory is on the machine, etc.)
My comments were not about the merits of OS X vs Windows.
I have a G4 1.67 mhz 2005 PB. If I hold my cursor down on the documents folder of my dock it takes about 2 - 3 seconds before finder responds.

That sounds a little funny coming from a guy with a brand new high end mbp and iPad 2 in his sig...
Anyway, this is interesting. Seems like apple and google are almost not competing. The people who want an iPhone get an iPhone. The people who don't choose among the other options, and google is winning that battle by a lot.
It does make sense. He spent his money on an iPad 2 and a MBP. Its called prioritizing.

But I am sure that Nokia knew a very long time ago that Apple was infringing and did nothing (which is perfectly their right)...and let Apple make billions...then file a lawsuit to cash in.
The iPhone came out in mid 2007. It's not like Apple gives out their schematics and source code, so it could take a while for Nokia to figure out which patents are being used.
(Just as it took Apple several years to figure out which patents to sue HTC over.)
In this case, Nokia fairly quickly started asking Apple to pay royalties for the wireless technologies they were using. It's Apple that has delayed for years.
Think about it...why would Nokia file suit immediately to earn, say, a pesky $5 or $20 million (and give Apple a chance to make the product better) when Nokia can wait years and earn hundreds of millions or billions?
That only makes sense for patent holders that want a one-time payment. Nokia licenses their patents per device, and the GSM/WiFi ones probably can't be gotten around, so it matters less when they sue.
And again, Apple's known about many of these patents for years. They apparently would rather rake in the profits now and pay later.

...unlike like traditional rice wines such as sake...
Actually, sake is brewed like beer, not fermented like wine. It does drink like a wine, though. Thus the confusion.

I'm still amazed that we're at the point where we can measure Apple on the 'mobile phone' scale and not just the 'smartphone' scale.
Indeed, and unlike the trolls, Apple users are amazed at how well Apple is doing in these rankings. When the iPhone first came out, I doubt anyone expected Apple to do as well as it has.
