If you need to hear my opinion on the Jewish/ Israeli Lobby; Yes, I completely agree that it is a powerful force. However, that's not focus of the story.
There can be no question that undue influence (given the weight of Jewish voters) has been going on for years.
There can also be no question that one who reports the news needs to remain relatively objective. I could give a damn what she says in private but when one starts expressing their opinion in a profession such a journalism, you lose all credibility to report a story without undue bias.
Anti-Semitism is generally quite swiftly and harshly dealt with in this country (and rightly so). It's a shame such an attitude towards prejudice is not more evenly applied when it comes to other groups.
I think Israel deserves quite a lot of criticism, as does the pro-Israeli lobby. Criticism of these two entities is not tantamount to anti-Semitism. Also, much what Thomas says echoes sentiments being expressed accross the Middle East on a daily basis. She is Lebanese, and Israel's track record with Lebanon is pretty shameful. Right or wrong, this stuff is not necessarily coming out of the blue. With that being said, some of Thomas' statements and language came across as very reckless at best.

I love the new shuffle look. It is an excellent design.
There shouldn't be too many complaints about it being unable to function like the old one as a USB jumpdrive. USB jumpdrives are pretty cheap now, and many of them are so small that you can put one onto your keyring without noticing it. Buy a USB flash drive for your keyring, clip your shuffle to your pants, and suddenly the old model seems incredibly bulky.
I'm just worried about the space. 1GB isn't enough for me, even though it's a "shuffle". 2GB would hit the spot just about right, though.

Will pirates be able to use this technology? I'm not sure how successful the eye tracking will be when using an eye patch.
Arrr, the beauty of this is that it works for people who only have vision in one eye - Google "Wiggle Stereoscopy". Presumably it be head tracking rather than eye tracking.

Gordon Moore would probably beg to differ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore's_law). By the time Merom is out the current Yonah processors should become cheap enough to allow a $100-$200 price drop for a Mac mini.

Interesting...I just wouldn't want Apple to have to resort to using Celeron processors to make their products cheap. My main consideration for buying a Mac was not just the OS, but the fact that I knew I was getting a quality machine that would stand the test of time and not fry like my Vaio desktop did after 2 years...

So you could theoretically build and conceal tracking stations all over the place and thus monitor these short-range transmissions. Wouldn't it be simpler just to hide cameras all over?

It does not work here. EyeTV 3.2 running on my MBP, iPhone access enabled in settings, WiFi okay, but I am only getting this message ("cannot find EyeTV in network") like in the screenshot. Rebooted iPhone twice: NADA.

I was AMAZED to see a video on my iPad off CNN of people in the affected areas of Japan calmly walking through a food store with 90% empty shelves. Calmly, quietly picking up one or two things here or there placing them in the cart and moving on. An interview of a shopper through interpreter announced "This is the only store with any stock...." and yet it was a peaceful as can be. :)

I'm not sure what part of my post implies that I think this issue is of no concern. I am skeptical, however, that the poster I was replying to will actually find many "fun" ways to exploit it.I'm sorry for my mistaken interpretation.
Perhaps we should help Antares by thinking of new and inventive ways to use this tracking ability. They don't have to be evil purposes.
For example, it would come in handy when planning a surprise party. "The sensor at the gate has been tripped - everybody needs to take their hiding places!"
Or it could be used to track shoes stolen at the gym. When you come running out of the building saying "which way did the thief go?", somebody who routinely tracks everyone near that building would be able to say "they went thataway!"
Or how 'bout a customer recognition system at the shoe store? When a customer walks in wearing transmitting Nikes, the store clerk can check if they are a repeat customer, see a display of their name, and say "Hi, Mr. Smith. Welcome back!" with a big smile. That could help make another sale. If their shoe ID wasn't already in the computer when the customer made a purchase, they would note it for the next time.

Just downloaded this and it connected straight away, no problems. However, does it only work with the built in tuner? I can't seem to find a way to view programs on the composite video input connection, where my Sky box is connected.
