For those of you who have rotted in the BEC and USCIS..for many years..that has eventually denied you from being a citizen sooner..there are some posts in immigration.com I saw that talks about some kind of a campign to capture lost time...most of you will get GC soon..if you have wasted time..please look at a new campaign to recapture the lost time towards your citizenship

Hi All

I did paper based filing through lawyer on may 5 with check $340 has been encashed and I waited now 2 weeks but still there is no receipt notice in mail.
SO i called my bank and ask them whether there any receipt number on the back of check but agent told me that there are no 13 digit number just bank stamp and there is only one 9 digit number that he has given me but on the case status thats a invalid number

Please help as I am worried that if evry thing is fine or should I e-file as well as my licence is also expiring next month now how should get a reciept number

neither lawyer nor employer received Labor Hard Copy until today. I missed I-140 Premium
Processing because of Hard copy.

I signed one page of the original document (which the employer/lawyer should send to you)
before filing your I-140.

I am currently on EAD and applied for I-485 in July 2007. My category is EB3 India.
I am also maintaing my H1-B status with current company. My priority date is December 2005.

As you all know about the situation of EB3 India and how long will it take to get to December 2005. I want to change the job as I am not getting paid as much as I am supposed to get considering my experience. I am also looking for some change and new opportunities.

So my question is if I get a contract job through a staffing agency and will be working for another company on contract and may be I get permanent after few months or may be not. Is it possible to work on contract for a company through staffing agency using my EAD? I never worked on contract my entire career so don't know anything about it.
What will I need to do or say when I go to staffing agency or the company I will be working for? what is the process?
Please advice as I know many of you have done this or know all about it.

Note: My wife is also on EAD( we applied for I-485 seperately) and not planning to move from the compay where she applied for GC.

With the possiblity of the annual spillover coming up soon, wanted a quick poll to see the upcoming PD distribution within the IV community. EB2-India and waiting for adjudication only please (we can start another one for EB3-I & ROW)

USCIS provides pending 485 inventory
DOS issues demand data used for monthly visa bulletin calculations.

When these informations are now available, there is no use/need for a poll of this kind. It boils down to why take sample data when you have complete data provided by USCIS and DOS.
