I am working in US on L1A visa expiring in November 2010 (completing 7 years). The Visa with whom I am working are not processing my GC. Before changing my Visa to L1A, I had H1B which is expired now. So I am applying for PERM through another employer. This employer/attorney is going to file for Labor in one or two months. What are the chances of my Labor and I-140 getting approved before December 2010? If my Labor got approved by December 2010, Can I switch to the employer who has applied for PERM and continue staying in US? Are there any options? Please advice. Thanks for your time.
PERM processing for non-audited cases is taking anywhere from 8-12 months these days. Assuming your case does not come under audit, then yes, with premium processing of I-140, you can expect both your Labor/I-140 being approved by Dec 2010 (assuming the 8-12 month PERM processing times still hold good)

You can still get a 1 year extension claiming that your PERM application is still pending. It all depends on the officer that the decision has not been made on PERM application.
The PERM is already denied and you can not get the extension based on the denied PERM.

Not sure about specific places, but in general problems are when you are coming back to US.
If you have stamped and valid h1b for returning back to US, you should be fine.
I have not had any issue or heard of any issues while visiting mexico, hawaii or alaska

Hawaii and Alaska are states that are part of US and you are free to travel anywhere in the 50 states of US without the need to show Visa or travel Document. However its not the same with Mexico. Its a different country.

Can someone please explain what is Form G-639 for . I googled on G-639 but it seems my case fits more on cases when this shouldn't be used. Please please someone please try to understand. All I have is my SSN and all I know is my I-140 is being filed and approved. I don't have the SRC number.

The other day had a friend at my place and I felt like throwing him out of my house. These guys are crying by their asses days and night. Believe me he is the guys whose wife drives him to work because his DL expired and PA DOT is not issuing him License because he has less than 1 year visa. But he was talking this government, that government..... I asked him to keep quiet and watch, if we are successful you'll get a free ride, if not then keep crying through your ass, you're doing it anyway!!!!

Are you using Silverlight or ASP.net? In Silverlight, here is how you can get a custom character to display:

Took about 2.5 months for me. I would ask for a complete copy of the Alien record.
I would suggest that you ask them to provide you with the result of the FOIA on a CD. CD has no charge.....

Thanks guys. Nik, my boss took the decision out of my hands and had me order the 2 lense option. I'm hoping it's compact enough that I can hike with it. If so, he said he'd take my Canon Pro1 for the shop and I could have this. If I take it, then I'll look into your suggestion.
