Is that $60 plus shipping costs? Also, what DVD's do you have to trade? I only have a GameCube now so that would be the only system I could consider game trades......other than Mac games of course.

I would GLADLY take a keyboard and mouse combo for $60.

Otherwise Im just interested in the keyboard.

    PM me.

Im sure I have some stuff to trade to. DVDS, Ps2 Games, etc etc.

    Hey,

So I got a new 11" MacBook Air with the ext. SuperDrive and am looking to install Windows 7 on it.

Fired up Boot Camp and downloaded the drivers... crawled along slowly but surely (looked like it would take ~1 hour to complete) and decided to take a quick shower while waiting.

15 minutes later I got back to the Mac and was surprised to see that it had completed the download already, and was prompting me to transfer it to some form of external media. Burned it to a CD-R, verification was OK and all seems well.

Just anal about things like this and I'd like to see if anyone could verify that the exact file size is '559,398,912 bytes' (559.4MB on disk)(this is on a CD, not a flash drive)? Just worried since the download seemed to have completed unusually quick, on my normally slow-as-molasses network (oh, and someone on another forum mentioned that the file was 562MB...)

I would get a MD5 hash but don't know any checksum checkers for Mac OS X.

    Thanks!

I've recently came into ownership of an iMac and I tried cleaning it with a magic sponge, which unknowingly to me badly scratched it. I originally wanted a tangerine iMac, but ended up with an lime one, so I was wondering if the translucent parts of the cases and all other green parts can be changed to orange. Is it possible?

what i have said from the new nano's initial release, was that it was supposed to be the new iPod Shuffle. The thing is, production/component costs probably were too high to justify it becoming the low pricepoint shuffle.

the predict a new nano in the upcoming release and the shuffle being replaced with the current nano

I just switched from PC to Mac. I received a Base Station Snow Second Hand and the Password is unknown. Is there a way to reset it on the Base Station itself, or is there a way to reconfigure it using my Setup Assistant under Utilities?

    Thanks.

    Nathan

I'm pretty sure the older airport base station has the same paperclip hole in the bottom.... I think that's the answer.

So disappointing. First Paul Miller and now Josh and Nilay. As a fan of Apple it was nice to have a guy who unabashedly appreciated their products and wasn't afraid to rate them above other competitors. (Despite the raging lunacy in the comments against anything Apple)

So Gizmodo blows and now Engadget is being 'AOLized' with the talent jumping ship. I will always have this site for Apple-related news but man what is out there for general tech news that is fun AND full of decent journalism?

Why not take it in to get it serviced since it still has Apple Care? That way the buyer won't have to.

I try to be an honest person and the keys do not work because around 3 months after I purchased it I spilled a small amount of water on the arrow keys. I turned it off right away and then later on all that doesnt work is the left and right key. I dont feel right taking it in to get fixed.

Is there a way to leave the Contacts alone on the phone?
I just got the phone , sync'd it and everything else.
On windows address book, there's no phone numbers.
I went on the phone to "Contacts" and edited everything the way I want it.
Is there a way to make it so next time I sync the phone, the contacts on it stay as they are? I don't want it to sync from the windows address book again Cause I'll probably lose everything I just edited.

I had a folder called "Psych Notes" and I made an identical folder called "Psych Notes." The new folder had some additional files, and did not have some of the files that the original "Psych Notes" folder had.

Now, since the new folder was better organized with good file names, I decided that the new "Psych Notes" folder should become THE one and only "Psych Notes" folder on my hard drive. I dragged the folder to the correct directory in order to replace the old folder.

I got the dialogue "Are you sure you want to replace ... [Stop] [Replace]" and I said yes, please replace. Now I realize I have a very important file -- two and a half weeks worth of lecture notes(!!!) in the original psych folder. Is it gone forever? It's not in my trash, and I already did too many things in order to use Finder's "Undo" ... yeah, I know.

Please oh please tell me there's some way to get this file back? :(

I think you'd be surprised how much knowledge the human brain can store. The problem is specific data access. Recalling "memories" is something that has been a basic task of computers for decades.

I know that the brain can store an enormous amount of information, but wasn't Watson programmed with the equivalent of over 1 million books? I've read a lot my entire life, but nowhere close to that. Getting back to Jeopardy, I think there were several questions when Ken knew the answer immediately but Watson beat him on the buzz in. You could see how frustrated he was getting as the computer hit the button precisely time after time. The humans had no chance on the reflex end of it. In that way it really wasn't fair as the machine could do it over and over again.

I really enjoyed watching and I did some reading about the Watson project on my own too. What impresses me the most is the humans that created this lighting fast machine. I hope it gets put to good use helping people.

I am not a "hopeful 'visual artist'." Currently, visual art is my primary income pipeline. As my resume states, I am the Director of Promotion and Marketing for a large consulting firm in Silicon Valley -- not a position reached by being "hopeful".

However, after Berkeley, architecture will obviously grossly supersede it as an income source.

My "quotations" were an approximation of the intention contained in your original message. To say otherwise is only a self-congratulating delusion.

In my life I have never rammed anything down anyone's throat.

The world would be full of pity if you turned out older than me. Let's hope that isn't the case.

P.S., Nothing you said was potent enough to "destroy" any "system". (And you're trying to say I'M riding a "little cloud"?)

Does this mean we can force those bastions of "traditional values" to pony up any pay due property taxes on their multi-million-dollar facilities?

I believe this falls under the umbrella of separation of church and estate. :p
