When renewing EAD paper filing not E-file, I had written the check in favor of USCIS instead of "U.S.Department of Homeland security" , do you think there would be a issue for them to accept the cheque?

Can we have multiple jobs while on EAD ? say I ditch my H1 & convert to EAD.
Then can I have mulitple jobs, say I start a company, or work for others as well ?

An Ohio-born entrepreneur, now based in Switzerland, told Dow Jones he is considering turning in his U.S. passport. Mounting U.S. tax and reporting requirements are making potential business partners hesitate to do business with him, he said.

Hey, just be confident.. not all people get a chance to go in a place and apply for a job.. besides, if you have all the qualities of an applicant, there is no reason to be shy, rather tell your interviewer on what you can do to be an asset and help the company grows more.:D

Check with attorney if they have they filled other EB2 petitions in this fashion and got approval? I dont think you can do much if both attorney and HR want to process perm in a certain way

Hi,
I 've applied for my H1 extension in August 2009 (Just two weeks before my previous I-94 was expiring), after a month I have been facilitated with RFE for client letter. As usually my client denied providing me a letter and told me to contact primary vendor for any of this kind. Finally got a letter from primary vendor with roles and responsibilities of mine with very extended duration. RFE was answered with the primary vendor letter, and after couple weeks extension was denied.
Now my previous H1 got expired two months back, initially my employer told me that he will open MTR but attorney suggested that chances of MTR success is less and asked to file new application for extension. Another application (premium) was filed within 2 weeks of first application denial and after couple weeks my extension was approved.
1. will the period between initial H1 expirey date and approval of 2nd application for extension considered as "out of status" ?
2. Had to visit india and need to go for stamping, how is mexico in my case?
3. I heard that due to not having an entry in PIM, applications are kept pending for 4 to 6 days in india with 221g. How about mexico, will it be same?

I filed to NSC on 7/20 but receipted by CSC on 9/20 acknowledging the receipt date as 7/20 and transferred I-485 alone to NSC reataining I-765 and I-131. Since then no FP notice or LUDs on I-485 from NSC but EAD and AP are approved from CSC.

I will request to sysadmin or IV to start some Poll covering all dates according to Visa Bulletin for EB2 and EB3 for world, India and china. This poll will help everyone to see how many people are in waiting in lines and what can be expected upcoming months ....this poll will not be pin point but will give info little close to reality... This morning I saw a commercial (California Group Blames Immigrants for Climate Change) (http://www.triplepundit.com/2009/11/california-group-blames-immigrants-for-climate-change/)on the local Bay Area channel and was simply surprised, I mean out of words surprised.
I cannot believe how low these anti-immigrant groups can and will go to push their point, which obviously is nothing but full of BS, but it certainly adds fuel to the fire.

Hi,
I was on regular H1B for three years until mid 2008 when I changed to H4 status. Now, if I want to work for a non-profit organization, does the org have to just transfer the original H1B or file a new non-profit petition. If it is the latter (new petition) what happens to my original H1 approval? If I want to go back to the for-profit world do I need to apply for a new H1 or will my original H1 validity continue??

Hi All ,
I am currently on L1B visa valid till Mar 09.
I can apply for renewal for the same in Sep 09 and wanted to check if there would be any issues as if i travel to india and return on the old petition in oct-nov 08 (in case the renewal is still pending).
Will my return on the old petition cancel my L1 renewal petetion ?
I am trying to get the L1 renewed as soon as possible so that i can file for EAD renewal for my spouse.
Any views would be greatly appreciated.

How important is filing date when it comes to I-485 processing? Does USCIS process I-485s by Filing Date or by Priority Date? If it does so by Filing Date, and assuming that the dates stay current for a long time, does it mean that a person with a later PD can get his/her I-485 processed before a person with an earlier PD if the person with the earlier PD has a later FD?
